Phil Riteman's tale

Phillp Riteman has one hell of a holocaust tale.

When he was 14 years old, he says he was marched 37 miles to a ghetto Szereszow, Poland.

According to Phil, along the march friends and relatives were forced to dig their own graves and were shot by German soldiers.

He was then sent to Auschwitz. Phil says that the Germans killed anyone under 17 and over 45 years old.

So Phil lied and told the Germans he was 18.

His job at Auschwitz was to take bodies from the gas chambers and burn them.

Phil remained totally silent about his "experiences" for 40 long years.

Then, suddently, one day he decided to tell his tale to schoolchildren all over Canada.

He tells children to "love everybody and hate no one."
