Elie Wiesel on the "baby burning pits" at Birkenau

Kosher source

Elie wrote in "Night" that on his first night in the camp, a night that he would never forget, he saw two burning pits, one for children and one for adults, where Jews were being burned alive.

Painting by Holocaust survivor depicts children being burned alive

Elie and his father were miraculously spared at the last moment when, only two steps from the burning ditch, they were ordered to turn left and enter the barracks.

The following quote is from "Night" by Elie Wiesel:

"Not far from us, flames were leaping up from a ditch, gigantic flames. They were burning something. A lorry drew up at the pit and delivered its load-little children. Babies! Around us, everyone was weeping. Someone began to recite the Kaddish. I do not know if it has ever happened before, in the long history of the Jews, that people have ever recited the prayer for the dead for themselves .... Never shall I forget that night, the first night in camp .... Never shall I forget that smoke. Never shall I forget the little faces of the children, whose bodies I saw turned into wreaths of smoke beneath a silent sky."

  3. May the millions of men, women, and children who died in this massacre rest in peace forever. How could you people deny their existence and their deaths? How do you explain the pictures, the bodies, the skeletons...the buildings built to destroy these people? It may be hard to believe, and for good reason, but it happened. You are only in denial because it hurts you to know the truth! Don't be so weak and selfish! History will repeat itself if we do not learn from it...

  7. Wake up & educate yourself!
More than one other Auschwitz inmate has come out and said this man is a FAKE!
His story & his accent alone do NOT support any of his books and so called life story!
And when one of these people asked to see his tattoo he refused! Soon after the woman was getting threats from thugs at the JDL!
The first people to call this scumbag a liar were JEWS themselves!
No one likes to talk about that because you can't exactly call them anti-semitic!

  8. I believe that if your child/children or family member was forcibly taken away and burnt while you were made to watch you'd be one fucked up human forever. Elie and all those people didn't ask for it to happen. You don't know the real story so SHUT THE FUCK UP ASSHOLE!!!!!!!

  9. To those who deny the Holocaust, may that "fabrication" happen to all those you love. Children included. Have a nice day.

  10. there's one very relevant piece of evidence missing here,.......where's the tattoo? This would be a major point in verifying Wiesel's credibility, especially since he has always maintained that he has one, and even gives us the exact number.
Miklos Gruner, on the other hand, is proven by camp records and his tattoo which he is not ashamed to show, to be an authentic survivor.

One of these men, to anyone who can add two plus two, and who do not allow blind sentiment to affect their reason, is lying.

  11. Many defenses were raised at the holocaust trials, but nobody raised the defense that it did not happen.

When Eisenhauer found out about the camps, he immediately called in the film crews because "in 50 years there will be some dumb son of a bitch who says it never happened."

If a person cannot put together the pieces of the holocaust, they are either stupid or wicked.

  12. Those of you who say Elie Wiesel is fake need to take a look at the evidence that backs him up:
    1. There are no know records of Lazar Wiesel other than the records from Auschwitz
    2. Wiesel may have had his tattoo removed or faded for personal reasons
    3. Elie Wiesel has published over 50 books. Wouldn't "Lazar Wiesel" have revealed himself by now?
    4. The names "Eliezer" and "Lazar" sound similar. Either one could simply be a nickname or shortened version
    5. Elie Wiesel learned how to speak French and English, and may have very well forgotten most of the Hungarian language if he did not use it regularly
    6. Wiesel never recieved a Peace Prize for literature, as many people think.
    7. Since the book "Night' was not published until several years after the Holocaust, it is quite possible that Wiesel may have forgotten each and every detail of each and every day.

I really think that the people who claim Elie Wiesel as a fraud are simply looking for some sort of recognition, money, or fame.
